... and a legend
A Polish legend
Hello everybody! ☺☺ Today we would like to present you an old Polish legend.😄
A long time ago, where Poland is dense forests were growing. Three brothers: Lech, Czech and Rus set off to find places for their settlements. They saw a big "Oak" tree one day. They noticed a white eagle near the tree. It was flying up in the sky. Lech was fascinated when he saw it. Lech said to his brothers:
- I found my land! This eagle is a sign! This land is fertile and there are a lot of animals here. I want to build my settlement here!
And that's how it happened. Lech built the first castle here. Gniezno was the first capital of Poland. The eagle is a symbol of Poland.
Three brothers split up. Czech was going South, Rus was going East
And some information about Polish dances
Krakowiak is a live and popular Polish folk dance. It comes from the region of Krakow. Is is really fast and it’s the only Polish folk dance which is not a dance with a 3/4 rate. The most important things in the dance are the colourful outfits which give dancers charm and beauty. Krakowiak always starts with a song.
